What WP Report Studio collects from your site

Report queries run on your WordPress server, and report definitions are saved in your WordPress database. Reports leave your site when you download them, email them to configured recipients or share them. Optional AI and licensing features make the external requests described below.

What we collect on this marketing site

The marketing site is hosted on Vercel. Its source does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Vercel may log request metadata such as IP address, user agent and timestamp for operational purposes; see Vercel's privacy policy.

Launch notices and support email

If you sign up for a launch notice, we store your email address and signup time in the site’s Redis store. Resend handles confirmation email when configured, and the site notifies our support inbox of a new signup. We use the list to announce the public launch. You can request removal by emailing support.

Beta requests and feedback go to our support inbox. We receive the contact details, messages and any screenshots or diagnostic bundles you choose to send. Review attachments for private information before sharing.

What happens when you buy

Purchases are handled by Freemius, our merchant of record. Freemius collects name, email, billing address, and payment details, and is responsible for tax compliance, fraud prevention, and refund processing. We use customer and license information made available by Freemius to manage purchases, activations and support.

See Freemius's privacy policy for the full data-handling picture on the checkout side.

AI features (BYOK)

WP Report Studio's AI features (describe-your-report, suggestions) are "Bring Your Own Key" — you supply an API key for OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google AI Studio, or a local Ollama install. When you use AI:

  • Your prompt and your site's field information (post types, field names and selected sample field values) go directly from your server to the AI provider you chose.
  • The plugin sends AI requests directly to your selected provider, using your API key for authentication. WP Report Studio does not proxy these requests. The provider’s own data-handling terms apply.
  • Your API key is stored AES-256 encrypted in your WordPress database, with the encryption key derived from your WordPress secret-key constants.

Telemetry / analytics inside the plugin

The plugin uses the Freemius SDK to enable licensing, automatic updates, and (with your explicit opt-in) usage diagnostics. Anonymous mode is the default — the plugin doesn't call home unless you opt in.
